Biography

Kacey was born in Kansas but grew up in northern New Jersey. She graduated from high school and went on to attend the County College of Morris. She changed her major, while originally liberal arts, to art education at the urging of her friends and professors. They all had confidence in her to be a fantastic artist. In an effort to be well rounded and to challenge herself, she went back to school and earned her bachelor's degree in 3D animation from the Academy of Art University.

She started drawing before she could write, following her mother's guidance. Her mother not only taught her, but inspired her because she was so creative. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be an artist. Because of this, she took as many art classes as she could in high school and in college.

Much of her art features realistic portraits done in any medium she felt like experimenting with. While she prefers colored pencils and pastels, she can occasionally be seen using paints. While in this college, her work was featured in the Demare Strolling Gallery. She also had a drawing featured in Assemblyman Bucco’s Randolph Office.
